Birthday Party’s

Our parties run all year round, in all weathers and run from our beautiful woodland.

Our birthday parties are for toddlers, boys, girls, teenagers or mixed groups.

The children are given a short talk beforehand about respecting nature and health and safety. Everyone will be shown how to do the activity safely then given a go at taking part. Parents are encouraged to bring along anything they may like to cook on the open fire. (Under your own supervision)

Archery;

Each guest will make a bow and arrow and take on some challenges and competitions with your friends including balloon bursting and maybe even win a certificate  for best Archer of the day!

Wand or staff carving;

Learn all about knife law and safety and the uses of knives and then under the guidance of our highly experienced instructors learn how to carve your own Gandalf style staff  or witches / wizard wand. 11 year old’s upwards.

Go wild in the woods.Birthday in the woods

Play an amazing woodland version of a  hide and seek game, build woodland shelters, get camouflaged up and learn how to move silently through the woods to avoid being caught by the hunters, can you outsmart them? learn how to make a fire and finish your party eating delicious marsh mallows and hot chocolate cooked over a fire.

Find the treasure!

Get ready to go on an adveturous treasure hunt through our magical woodlands, you’ll have to follow clues along the way to solve the mystery and find the prize before heading back for cake and hot-dogs around an open fire.

Woodland magic.

Follow the magic trails of fairy dust to lead you to the magical home of the woodland spirits where you’ll make magic potions and your own magic wand to ward off any “non believers” and build magical fairy or elf houses to home the woodland spirits before lunch cooked over an open fire.

Bespoke parties are tailor-made to create a magical experience and to match your child’s interests. working together we can plan a party around a chosen theme. bespoke parties can be more flexible on time and can include more food and drink etc. contact us to discuss your individual requirements

We have 3 slots a day;

Morning  –  10.00 am – 12.30 pm
Afternoon  –  1.30 pm – 4.00 pm
Evening  –  5.00 pm – 7.00 pm

HOW MUCH DOES A PARTY COST?

For a 2 and half hour party for up to 10 children it will be £185 – £50 voucher

Any extra children (max 20) are £12 / each

10 children minimum charge.

We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

  • Please supply your own party bags. (At the moment) Good ideas for gifts have been compasses and whistles. Twig pencils and wooden toys.

Both children and grown-ups should wear clothing appropriate for the weather conditions and environment.  Layered clothing is best for warmth and flexibility.  Footwear should be sturdy such as trainers or hiking boots.  Wellies are ok but are harder to run in and feet can get cold.  Long trousers are important for protecting legs.  Thermal socks, gloves and hats are also good ideas and waterproofs for rain and mud.  In warmer weather consider sun cream and sun hats.  Spare clothes are a good idea as well as a bag to put mucky clothes in for the homeward journey.

  • The woods are kept in a natural state. There are hazards in the woods; fallen trees, sharp objects, trip hazards, holes and pools of water. There are also hazards in the activities in which you and all party guests will take part including fire and using knives or other tools. We will help you manage those risks by giving you important information in safety briefings about the woods and the activities. However, accidents do happen. The likelihood of being injured is reduced by following all safety instructions carefully and by all guests only using tools whilst supervised. You are responsible for all guests following instructions and listening to safety briefings and remain responsible for the safety of yourself and all guests you accompany. We will not be liable for any damage, cost or expenses arising from your attendance except in respect of death or personal injury resulting from any act or omission constituting our negligence. By signing below and taking part you accept there are risks in taking part in a At Play In The Woods Birthday Party and that you remain responsible for the safety of your child and all the guests. I am aware that we will be taking part in woodland based activities and with those activities, comes an element of risk. The At Play In The Woods team will ensure that this risk will always be appropriate to the age and abilities of the attendees and the rules put in place are to protect all parties. I am responsible for all guests at all times throughout the session and I am happy for them to participate and will ensure they follow the rules set out. If I am not the parent or legal guardian of the child, I have the permission of the parent / guardian to for them to take part. I understand that the completion of this form reserves my place on the event and that my booking is not complete until the At Play In The Woods team has contacted me to confirm my place and payment has been made in full. I am happy for the At Play In The Woods team to contact me regarding other events and news. Your contact information will not be shared with any other parties.
