Is your child aged between 8 and 12?
Does your child enjoy spending time outdoors?
Activities include den building, camp fires, team games, outdoor play and more. The club is aimed at providing exciting and fun outdoor activities in woodland and countryside for children from 8 to 12 years.
We don’t run to structured plans or timetables, in fact, most of the time the children decide what they want to do, so every day with us is different. The problem we usually have is fitting everything we want to do into a single day. Luckily, there is always tomorrow….
Of course you can book for just a day; but if you book for a week, your child will never have the same day twice, and they’ll never be short of things to do.
They’ll be tired and probably be dirty when they come home ready for bed.
We will be outside all day, so being prepared with the right clothes and plenty to eat and drink is essential.
Children should wear clothing appropriate for the weather conditions and environment (i.e. mud/water and woodland). Layered clothing is best for warmth and flexibility. Footwear should be sturdy such as trainers or hiking boots. Wellies are ok but are harder to run in and feet can get cold. Long trousers are important for protecting legs. Good socks, gloves and hats are also good ideas and waterproofs for rain and mud. In warmer weather consider sun cream and sun hats. Spare clothes are always a good idea as well and bring a bag to put mucky clothes in for the homeward journey. Perhaps more for the smaller ones – children need to be at a stage where they are able to use the toilets by themselves.
Packed lunch in a small ruck sack. Note: Refreshments such as squash and biscuits are included, but if you have specific dietary needs e.g. gluten free, then please bring appropriate snacks accordingly. We do not recommend fizzy drinks.
