An excellent opportunity has arisen to help lead the At Play in the Woods Holiday Club during school holidays. We are looking for one or two capable, energetic leaders to join and manage the day to day running of the club.

This would be perfect for anyone looking to gain experience working in an outdoor learning facility, working with children aged 8-12 years old and able to commit to working in the school holidays.

Over 18 role.
Purpose of post

To coordinate and deliver outdoor learning whilst having fun and enjoying yourself.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Development and organisation of the activities programme for the club based around the resources available on site.
Help implement and manage day plan, outdoor activities, with flexibility for adverse weather or attending children’s requirements.
Day registration and collection. (Training provided)
Welcome all children and support them throughout the day, liaising with their parents/guardians in relation to their day.
Prepare equipment & resources for group activities, tidying up afterwards, checking, sorting & repairing equipment as necessary. Ensuring that area is prepared for the following day.
Understanding of safeguarding importance and implicating safeguarding at all times so all children receive support. (Training can be provided)
Responding and reporting feedback based from parents & guardians as well as to the needs of the children attending the holiday club. This will include Risk Assessment documentation and interviews.
Administer any necessary first aid, ensuring accidents and incidents are recorded and reported when required.
To carry out any other duties which fall within the broad spirit, scope and purpose of this job description.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.

You will need:
*Experience working with children
*DBS certificate.
*A first aid qualification
*Be able to drive or get to site everyday
*Understanding of the Forest School Ethos and be able to apply this throughout all working
practice, both with learners, staff and children.
*Ready to have fun

Salary – negotiable, dependent on experience.
