DESCRIPTION:Have you ran out of things to do with your children?\nWhy not come and spend the last but one day of the holiday getting messy in the woods?\nTake part in tailored activities\, at the same time as having freedom to explore and have an adventure in our magical woodland. \nOur February sessions are filled with fun activities for all ages to enjoy the great outdoors with your family. Bringing memories back for mum\, dad\, and everyone of all ages roasting marshmallows over a camp fire.  \nCome and enjoy our two and half hour tech free sessions\, no facebook no mobile phones and no internet. Just getting back to nature in a relaxed and fun environment. \nPlease book NOW as places are limited……. \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION \nMeet 10 minutes before the start of the sessions in the car-park and wait for a ranger. \nYounger or older siblings are welcome\, but please ensure that they have a ticket. \nAll children to be accompanied by a responsible adult. \nYou may get muddy and wet. \nActivity clothes and sturdy shoes are a must for all. \nBring waterproofs\, wellies\, suntan cream and a sun hat (a change of clothes for the journey home). \nLong sleeves and trousers recommended \nNo skirts\, open toes shoes/sandals\, flip flops or crocs or flammable clothing. Anyone with unsuitable clothing or foot wear or clothing may be excluded from taking part. \nThe responsible adult is responsible for the actions and involvement of child they are accompanying. \nPHOTOGRAPHS WILL BE TAKEN DURING THIS SESSION – If you do not wish photographs of your child to be used for publicity purposes (names are never published) please inform the rangers at the start of the session as this is no problem.

DESCRIPTION:This weekend is a great chance to meet others who like to do the same as you. Although we are not  setting this up like a course\, designed with specific teaching  objectives\, they are a great introduction and opportunity to learn. \nGetting outside. Doing everything it takes to cook your own food. Spending time on your own skills and helping others pick up new ones. \nMeets attract members at all levels from raw beginners to experts in their fields \nThe team here\, would like to invite everyone who takes part in Bush Craft\, Forest Schools and Wild Camping to come and join us for a small fee to help with wood supplies and upkeep off the site.  To a weekend meet up. \nOnly 3 things you have to follow\, \n\nLook afteryourself\nLook after others\nLook after the woodland\n\nOther than that understand this is a get together for adults only to take part in a skill sharing weekend get together. \nWe have basic toilets and water  supplies so not a problem if you need to go. \nTurn up  with tarps and hammock that is just fine sadly we do not have the available materials for building a lot of natural shelters. (Tents are ok as well) \nBring something to eat and if  necessary the means to heat it. We do not allow ground fires\, but we have 2 fire pit areas that everyone will help keep burning. (There is nothing wrong with bringing a simple camping stove if you like). \nObviously you need to be prepared for the conditions you are likely to encounter. Warm clothing is a good idea\, even in Summer the evenings can get cold.  Waterproofs and footwear suitable for muddy conditions are sensible too. \nA sleeping bag or good warm blankets and an insulated  sleeping mat. \nThing we can forget to bring are a notebook and a chair of some sort. Most evenings people will gather around the camp fire for company and  conversation. Many will enjoy a drink or two in moderation. We have benches round the fire but may like to bring something to put on it. \nDon’t be  afraid to ask  questions\, everyone should be willing to share knowledge but most will not impose  just in case you are happy working things out on your own. \nWe all  started out somewhere and it’s easy to forget that first time when we  hadn’t got a clue how to set up a tarp or what knots to use on a  hammock. Ask if you can look at how others have set up\, sometimes you  will be amazed at the little tips and tricks you can learn or the  different ways people have of doing things. \nBe prepared to find  a  welcoming bunch of people. \nWe are looking at the option of starting Friday evening if you would like to do this please get in contact.. \n
